ICCO & South Asia
In 2005, at the 40th anniversary of ICCO, we started a process of change that is now known within ICCO as the ProCoDe process: Programmatic Approach, Co-responsibility and Decentralization. The intention of all development co-operation in our context is to help create the conditions necessary for influencing social, political, cultural and economic change in society, thereby acting as a facilitator of change.
Co-responsibility
With an emphasis on mature and responsible partnerships, our endeavour is to carry out the process of change through meaningful civil society partnerships enabling thus, a decentralized approach to development and decision making.
Programmatic approach
Focussed programmes cutting across themes fulfilling the goals of development are carried out progressively through a three pronged approach - Access to basic facilities, Democratisation and peace building, and Sustainable fair economic development.
Decentralisation
Decentralisation is all about sharing the trust with all the players involved. At ICCO, it is the key to our functioning as it harbours the principle of co-responsibility and partnership.
