Sustainable Fair Economic Development (SFED)

ICCO works to improve the economic outlook of people in developing countries by supporting economic activities that are sustainable and fair.

Sustainability incorporates ecological and social sustainability, which improves people's socioeconomic security in the long run. Fair development ensures that small-scale producers in developing countries get a fair price for their products as well as access to aid, credits and consumer markets.

ICCO seeks to advance sustainable and fair economic development by promoting:

• Free access to international markets and fairly priced products
• Development of local markets  
• Cooperation with companies (sustainable entrepreneurship)  
• Loans and guarantees (including microcredits)
